Unsecure chicken perches

and i love them to bits but it seems that only 4 birds are laying. i got all the chickens from omlet 3 and 3

 

we have been getting 4 eggs a day now for about 4or5 days before this it was the odd one or two maybe three. should i be worried that two arent laying or do i leave it longer as maybe they werent all the same age when they came along? i cant really have chickens that are eating and not laying.

Glad you're enjoying the chickens Some do just start to lay later than others so you'll have to be patient

Two of my Omlet chickens laid from day 1 but Nellie has only started this week. All were delivered on the 19th May but the Omlet man said they may not be from the same 'batch' so Nellie may have been younger than the others. Eggs or not they are fascinating animals and the eggs are well worth the wait.
