bennett
My broody is lifted off every day at 12pm and without fail at 12.20pm every day is gets back into the coop. Today however, i took her off and she was like a chicken on speed! and within 10 minutes she was back in the coop, we are on day 17 and she is sat on pekin eggs, I have not candled any of them but do you think that the hatching is not far off as she was so quick today?? The Dogmother
Bantam eggs are earlier to hatch, so they could be on their way. Have you holding the eggs to your ear and gently tapping them with your fingernail? Sometimes, the chick inside will cheep back at you. Good luck with the hatch. bennett
ooooo havent tried that! I tried to candle them earlier today but my torch ran out of batteries! typical. No movement or anything today though. I guess the problem with having them under a broody is that you can really only have a look to see what is going on when they are on thier loo break. I am soooo impatient, how i ever lasted my 3 pregnancy's i will never know!
