Nature Chick Posted July 6, 2010 Share Posted July 6, 2010 Hi I am not sure this is a health issue so I am posting this here (hope thats okay!) We noticed a couple of days ago that the girls' run was full of feathers (from each of them is would seem judging by the colours!) They don't seem bald anywhere and I have checked them for lice etc. I am not sure if there is a connection but there was the remains of a wood pigeon from a sprawk kill next to their run! Maybe the trauma of witnessing the action casued them to drop some feathers?! I have picked them all up for now so that I can see if they are still losing them. Any ideas? lillybettybabs Posted July 6, 2010 Share Posted July 6, 2010 I have had this a little, No sign of lice ( but i have zapped them just in case). i have read somewhere that they can shed them in hot weather and it has be very hot in Banbury over the last month or so.
