Chicken boarders

Today my hens actually ventured out of their run, over the edge of the wood chippings and around the lawn. The garden is looking very tatty at the moment as we haven't been watering the grass, but I don't think they minded

They look relaxed! Interesting that they are not scratching about - only pecking but I suppose they will learn that in time. They are so lucky now thanks to you!

Yes I guess they do seem to be pecking rather than scratching around. One of them scratches around a lot in the run and has gone through quite a few inches of wood chips and into the ground underneath. I noticed earlier half a tile in the run, need to go and get that out before they hurt themselves on it
