Bloody Poo !

Recommended Posts

After some more advice please. Had my new baby girls for two weeks on Friday, so they will be about 12 weeks. But one of them (not sure which one  ) has blood in her poo. I have look on the lovely poo chart

http://www.chat.allotment.org.uk/index.php?topic=17568.0 and on the whole it looks like the shedding of the lining. But today looks like more of the abnormal poo!! :? Solid but with wet blood, but this had soaked into the news paper. Love them all already and hate to think one of them is poorly..They all seem well and are eating and drinking. So I guess my question is what should I do ? Should I add a tonic to the water or get something more stronger? Hope someone can help...many thanks :(

I would assume coccidiosis and treat accordingly.

My big girls have it and sounds just like you....I thought stomach lining and left it....then the blood appeared now touch and go with one of them due to a prolapse caused by the coccidiosis.

Keep going with the yogurt as this is supposed to help line the stomach.....I would also clean and disinfect everything and remove the poorly one from the rest. Some sites also recommend using dicotimous earth (spelling awful I know) in their feed as this helps as well.

I would get to a Vet asap
