When to integrate my newbies with my established pekins?

Recommended Posts

I have 3 newbies - 2 RIR and a Wyandotte - all bantams and roughly 15 weeks old.

I've had them for 3 weeks and they've been living in a mini run within the WIR so that they are both safe and able to get used to the 4 Pekins they'll be living with.

When would be the best time to introduce them to each other without the mesh between?

Do I still class the younglings as 'babies' and not try anything till they are at least 20 wks?

The newbies, especially the Wyandotte, are quite tall, but still quite skittish, especially the RIR's who do this mad flapping thing if spooked, especially by the green broom I use on the Hemcore, but don't seem to be bothered when the Pekins walk round their enclosure.

Should add that 2 of the Pekins can be a bit 'bolshy', hence my concerns about the best way to formally introduce.

Cheers
