hippy chick
Today i had to rescue a small toad from one of my chickens beaks. The poor thing was being bashed around by her and it has got a broken front arm. I have put it in the nursery tank with the tad poles. Is there anything i can do for the poor little thing? Olly
Oh dear - sorry, no advice - I guess it will either survive or not ... sorry to hear it.
franklyrabbit
I'm praying - any news?
Chucky Mama
Nature will probably sort things out.Sometime the limb shrivels to nothing in these cases or it heals itself albeit wonky. They often cope though (or not ) At least it is a front leg and not a vital back one, it may well adapt.
hippy chick
The little toad seems pretty much the same, although he is swimming about more now. His arm looks awful though, its really twisted but there is no break in his skin. He is eating gold fish food and I am going to try and catch him some small flies overnight. I hope that he doesn't start eating my toad-poles though!!
