coco
Probably a daft question but is it ok to give my two youngsters [12 and 15 weeks] extras such as mealyworms, sweetcorn, greens etc in small amounts. They are on growers pellets.
Redwing
Yes you can as long as they have growers grit available they will be fine with those treats
coco
Thanks Redwing. Whats the difference between growers and normal grit?
Redwing
Not a great deal to be honest, growers may be a bit smaller The only thing you do need to ensure that that you dont give the normal grit that has shell in it - it must be plain flint grit - the shell contains too much calcium for little ones If you have the stuff with shell in a bit of spreading it out on a tray and sifting through it to remove the shell can save some pennies
