bigmommasally
Hi Scotty Boy rabbits you have to wait for their testicles to drop around the age of 4 months. Girls get spayed aeound 5-6 months. They will need to have myxi and VHD jabs, these should be done a couple of weeks apart.
Scotty
probably a silly question, but if I get the boy done, do I have to bother with the girl? I mean is there any benefit to getting her done as well.
beach chick
my vet says 'yes' re getting girls done, because of gynae cancers etc. we have just got a 2 year old rabbit from a breeder - she had 2 litters but all were stillborn so breeder wanted to rehome her, and I will definitely get her done (along with the 'baby' who's now about 4 months)

Not only will it prevent her from getting uterine cancer etc in later life, but neutered bunnies are also more calm and well behaved.
