My Silkie x Pekin was very flighty.

My Pekins can flap up to quite a height!

I agree with Mollie! It detinitely depends on the breed! My pekins can easily hop on top of the eglus, my polands can flap up into quite high bushes and I had Mary, my Appenzeller/pekin cross fly (properly!) up onto the garage roof and onto the top of the rotary washing line.
