pud1954
Hello I seem to have a couple of chickens that seem very light when I pick them up.I have recently wormed them and a couple of them have been broody. They do seem to be eating and nothing seems wrong other than this.but last week one of my girls that felt the same died she had been eating fine but went down hill very quickly after cuddles and putting her on a warm bottle in case she was egg bound she just went very quietly I am worried now the others may go the same.I have put a tonic in their water and would like some advice if there is any thing else I could try. Plum
Might be worth a trip to the vet and take a sample with you. It would be a shame if you missed something that can be treated. On the other hand if the underweight ones were the broody ones it would explain it.

Egluntyne
What breed are they? Some are very slight in comparison to others. My Bluebelles would make three of my White Stars.
Chucky Mama
It will vary according to breed. One of my Bluebelles is built like a tank and one of my Amber Stars who is my best layer is like a whippet. No meat on her at all. I'd rather the Bluebelle was the build of the Amber Star to be honest.
