Just wondering if anyone has any ideas, we are off on holiday soon and next door has kindly agreed to look after my girls and feed them. But, they will not be allowed to free range and eat all there lovely favourites...Has anyone got any suggestions what I can leave for them to have has a snack each day to make up for it...(Other than asking her to pick clover out of the lawn!) Have tried curly kale, but they didn't like it... They will be about 17 weeks when we go...................Thanks

How about a pecking block? That might keep them entertained for a while.

They could have mixed corn and any left over greens from your neighbour. They will be fine with just layers pellets for your holiday though - they may even appreciate you more as a result!

I leave cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, lettuce etc., to hang up each day. My chicken sitter lets them run round the garden while she changes water etc., then gets them in with a bit of mixed corn. I ask her not to give them sweetcorn they get a bit manic
