Goldstar
I started letting my chooks F/R on Wednesday, since then the amount of eggs I have been getting has been reduced. I have 3 hens and was getting 3 eggs most days. Apart from one soft egg which I found in the garden they havent laid any while they have been out. I have looked all over the garden and not found any hidden. Does anyone have any suggestions and is this normal when they start to F/R? Chucky Mama
You may need to make sure that they have a decent fill of pellets or mash before they go out. Lots of us with FR girls have had a similar issues.

I'm going to only let them FR in the afternoons from now on.
Goldstar
Thank you both for your replies. I have kept them inside the run yesterday and today. I got 2 eggs yesterday and 3 today I am going out in a minute but might let them out when I get back. Then maybe keep them in until they have laid. I think they have too much fun exploring to lay.
