A chickychickychick-ENN!!
'advice wanted on mating my dashund to a great dane'. I still don't understand how it could have happened, but I had a PE teacher with a dog that was a Jack Russell-sized labrador. The only Russell bits were the size and the ears. Cutest dog ever. I'm very curious now as to which aspects of a daschund/dane hybrid would be dominant.
majorbloodnock
'advice wanted on mating my dashund to a great dane'. I still don't understand how it could have happened, but I had a PE teacher with a dog that was a Jack Russell-sized labrador. If the female (profanity filter won't let me use the correct term, not that it matters) was a labrador, she lay down for her suitor. I used to have a female labrador and she tried exactly that tactic with a terrier, but fortunately (for me) I broke up the happy couple before consummation. The only Russell bits were the size and the ears. Cutest dog ever. I'm very curious now as to which aspects of a daschund/dane hybrid would be dominant. Yes, indeed. I'd love to see a great dane with a dachshund woof.

Chucky Mama
I actually met a Great Dane/Dachsund cross - not sure I can tell you how it happened on the forum though the Dane was the mum.
Charlottechicken
I was thinking legs. It could end up quite hoppy! I always thought you ended up with a dog perfect for walking along slopes, long legs on one side, short on the other *gets coat *

What did it look like?! It was the colour of a great dane and looked just like a smaller great dane on very short legs. It could have done with an extra pair of legs in the middle
