My Silkie cross Coco hasn't laid for about six weeks now. She was broody for three months, laid four or five eggs and hasn't laid since. I put it down to the hot weather but even Pipa [other Silkie] has started laying again. She has been wormed, doesn't have mites and is very healthy and noisy. She is about 19 months old. She's never been a brilliant layer. Any ideas or is she just going to be one of lifes freeloaders. Shame as she lays a blue egg.

 

 

Yay, we have a blue egg after nearly two months of nothing, I thought she'd gone into early retirement.

Hi - Has she got her annual moult over? Moulting puts most but the most determined hybrid off laying.
