Margalot
Well We now have Florence the cockerel brahma, He proved this last Thursday when he did his first crow! then later that evening he showed his true colours to poor Lola who seemed most shocked He is getting gorgeous though already seems to look a whole lot bigger and walking with a proper strut! I am guessing he is around 18-20 weeks old now. Trouble is Aphrodite who was a few weeks younger is starting to show similar signs and they are going beak to beak. I have contacted the breeder whos happy to have Aphrodite back and will collect a replacement (or 2 )for him. So I will let you know what happens as we are going there tonight. Really reluctant to let Aphrodite go as he is soo sweet. I think I knew from the beginning that Flo was a boy, but was just trying to convince myself otherwise. Florence, is really tame and will sit on my lap, I hope he doesnt change? Also I am going to keep his name as Florence as just cant bring myself to call him anything else now! ( he shouldnt be offended should he?)
Roobaloo
Just take the 'F' off...Lorence!! ok, so the spelling is wrong but it makes it seem more unusual!!
Daphne
Well my boy is less likely than my hens to run screaming in the other direction if I try to stroke him and he does occasionally sit on my lap so you might well be in luck! Lorence - like it
