The_eggwards_family
So we collected our girls last night and put them straight to bed in the lovely . DH got them up this morning and fed them, all 3 came out pecked around a bit and two minutes later they went back in! And they are still in there! Is this normal? They are all huddled together, one is on the nest area and the other two are next to her on the wooden racks next to the next bit. It is cold and wet today so I thought perhaps that is why they aren't out, or is it because they are new? And ....they dont have names now either we were going to name them after the girls in desperate housewives, but now they are here, they just dont look like them! So its back to the name drawing board. Any advice or name ideas gratefully received, this forum has already saved me a packet on where to buy metal bins from - I love this place

figarogir1
All sounds quite normal They are probably just settling in and getting used to you, mind you the weather here is horrible too and my girls havent been out of the cube very long. Let us know what you call them, I let the kids name mine which is why I have a very broody hen called James
Gelbel
Re names - is there anything in their personalities that spark any ideas. My DH named a couple of our girls on seeing how they behaved when they were first put in their run when we brought them home - Grace was 'graceful' and Madge was 'majestic'. How wrong they turned out to be - but we did not change the names to Grumpy and Noisy.
