mummy cluck
Got 6 pol hens recently which included 2 heritage skylines, we were told 80% layed blue or green eggs. Well today one of them made a bit of noise and looked a bit uncomfortable so i put her in the nesting box just to see what happened. Went back later on and there was no egg and she was outside in the run. Anyway later on went back down to chooks and looked in boxes again this time i moved the straw and felt something at the bottom.....took straw out and there it was a blue egg only the size of a pigeon egg . Daphne
Congratulations - they look really special don't they nestling with brown and beige eggs! And you'll be pleased to know, as your girl gets in the swing of it, her eggs will increase in size - and should be even better in Year
