Bramble
I'm toying with the idea of buying a hyundai (possibly an I30 Estate or an IX35 would be really nice, but don't think I can afford one of those)! Has anyone got one, what do you think of them? All comments gratefully received! Thanks!
paddy1709
Its funny you have posted this as my hyundai tucson has only just died this week after 190,000 miles and that was only a problem with the 4wd transmission box. A very reliable car and the engine would have gone on for a lot longer!
Bramble
Thank you for that, 190k miles is not to be sniffed at is it? Was your's a petrol or diesel?Im testdriving one tomorrow so we'll see how that goes!
paddy1709
It was Diesal - bit of a tractor but outclassed all the 4 wheel drives in the snow this year. We were the only family to get out of our lane with the big snow drop this year - it was brilliant!
Daphne
Well I've just bought a coupe and have owned it for all of 5 days - so far its brill! From reviews I think hyundais are very reliable. I'm impressed with the smooth gearbox/ease of driving/level and quality of bits and bobs in my car - although its not quite the same as a big 4x4 type! I thought they looked very smart as well. In fact my OH has just taken my car shopping and he's not back yet....hope its OK
Bramble
Thank you! TBH I have yet to find anyone (who has actually owned one) who has anything bad to say about them. I'm liking the sound of the long warranty package and the level of equipment on even the basic model seems to beat the competition completely. I need a biggish boot for my dog otherwise I'd definitely be going for one of their smaller models. Very keen to have a diesel too, never had one before but I'm ready for it to be noisy (I think it'll be known as Thomas (the Tank Engine))!
