we currently only have two chooks left,a constantly broody orp and my original 3 yr old ginger nut ranger.the ginger nut has not laid for a long time.in the bushes we found something which we can only think has been passed by one of them, and more likely to be the gingernut.

it was like a white rough shaped boiled egg, almost rubbery. it was the size of two maybe three eggs and there was no shell at all. my partner thought there was signs of an underdeveloped chook though we dont have a cockrel, so how could that be anyway.

does anyone know what we may have found or is it totally unrelated.

It sounds as if she has laid a lash. Its nothing to worry about. Its a bit like a clear out of the reproductive system. You can reasure your OH that it was definatly not an underdeveloped chuck.
