Unsecure chicken perches

The above was laid yesturday -No yolk and no shell, just a sack of white- fairly strong as I managed to pick it up and take to kicthen before 'popping' it.

 

Just wondered if anyone else has had the same thing. I have 6 ex batts and get 3-4 eggs a day, is one coming back into lay after a moult perhaps or one going off lay due to age etc??

 

Just interested.

and today...........an egg no bigger than a two pence! It looks perfectly formed- just small. Havent cracked it yet- waiting to show DH, although I know he'll say ...............oh..............!!

Strange! Dont have any answers, just didnt want to read and run!

Could be just a blip, could be related to an impending moult, could be the beginning of the end of laying.

 

Does she seem normal in other respects? Any swelling of her abdomen?

hi.

I'm not exactly sure who is laying it, but all 6 are good and well. Eating and drinking fine and still running up for meal worms!!
