Trouble at bed time

Recommended Posts

We've had our first chooks (Margot and Barbara) for just a couple of weeks now, and as much as they seem to have settled in to their new surroundings, they don't seem to make their own way back to the run at bedtime when they have been free ranging.

Instead they seem much more interested in coming inside OUR house (!) and we generally have to either trick them or pick them up and place them inside the run. Does anyone have any tips for things we can try?!

Welcome to the forum, Juliapw :D

Try shining a torch into the run, they'll be attracted to the light and should go home :D . If you've only had your girls for a short while then they're still probably settling in and investigating their new home. They'll probably settle into a routine once they've been with you a bit longer and have explored every inch of their new home.
