katieD
hi all finally got my roof on and is nearly fully waterproof but when it rains heavily water is still getting in through the joins in the corregated plastic (we have overlayed them?). i have been using maxibed and really liked it but im pregnant and its no longer practical to be doing massive clearouts after its rained- which is quite often at the moment!! i was wondering if rubber chips would be worth the investment with the hope that i could just hose them down when they got dirty?? its slabbed underneath so the water could drain off- what do you think? anyone used them? or got any other suggestions? i love having my chickens but fed up of it all getting so wet and being a right mess help appreciated x
Margaret
Hi Katie D, I have just thrown mine all away and now use Auboise which is fantastic, really like the rubber to start with but after a year got really smelly and hard to clean. Quite expensive outlay, they did look nice as i had purple but in the end were not a good investment. Hope this helps.
Plum
Why not seal the joins with clear duck tape http://www.amazon.co.uk/Power-Duck-Tape-Virtually-Clear/dp/B000J6CTBI
