I have just been on holiday to france (got back today), and about halfway through (10 days ago) I got a phone call from my chicken sitter to say I have now got two chicks! Hilda has been broody since my other two chooks died so my mum gave her some eggs to sit on, donated from our friend with a cockeral. So I have now got Molly and Bella! It was such a shock to get home and suddenly have two chicks! They are very cute and I will put photos up soon Just a couple of questions, Do I need a heat lamp for them? Effy didn't have a heat lamp and is fine with her four light Sussex chicks, they were hatched in July. So I have now got Molly and Bella! Pictures? And as mollie said post some pictures when they are a bit older and we should be able to give them a sex ... But its not always accurate - They change ...
