I can't say how happy i was to read someone eles has orphingtons I have two 10 wk old ones as were recommended by the vet when we sadly had to put our ex-batts to sleep One is very quiet and small and the other is a little minx and keep flapping around. I know they say they can't fly but i do wonder if a 6ft fence is enough or if i'll be asking the neighbours for my chicken back

My Orpingtons are far too large to fly. They run and flap their wings but nver leave the ground! A 6 foot fence is more than enough. Mine do not have their wings clipped either.

 

Now my Cream Legba on the other hand is a different story....
