dippy bird
I have just been to collect today's eggs and found a tiny egg amongst them! All my hens are over a year old and have been laying for ages. I have three ex bats as well, does the tiny one mean anything? I.e one of them is going to stop laying? MarkBevBen
Oh I'd be interested to know too Dippy Bird. One of our girls laid a tiny egg yesterday with a very soft shell. Mind you, we've only had them for a week and the man from Omlet did mention we may get very small eggs even so small as a marble, but they're still okay! Chucky Mama
We had a diddy egg a few weeks ago - cute but not particularly attractive on the inside . They are all laying normally again now though. I think it is just a blip.
Lavenders_Blue
One of my ex batts lays these tiny eggs from time to time. Usually there is no yolk inside, just white. A couple of days ago she laid one that had a weird sort of malformed bit of yolk inside surrounded by white. I was making a quiche so just bunged it into the mixture and thankfully I have lived to tell the tale
