aaronmusgrove123
Hi, I haven't posted here in years but I need some advice My have two broody's (pekins) are sharing a nest with 4 eggs under them they are 4 days into incubation and one I found out of the nest cold ! It was on the roosting bars. I'm not sure how long it was out it could have been up to 5 hours or much less ! I candled it to see if it's fertile and it has veins in so I put it back under the broody but will it have killed the egg ? Thanks Aaron
Griffin
It might not have killed it but the colder it gets, the later it'll hatch. This is why my Brahmas can take as long as 24 days to hatch because they lose eggs out the back of their knickers. I've found with them that most eggs do survive getting cold from time to time. They generally only lose the ones they break.

Chuckov
I was about to say could it be a bad egg? Because sometimes they'll boot out the eggs that they know are 'bad'
