Graham0602
We have 3 chickens in our Eglu Classic and 3m run They love running around when they free-range in the garden, but seem a tad bored inside the run I want to make the run a bit more interesting/exciting for our chooks. Has anybody added features to ther Eglu run to make it a bit more fun ? I'm thinking of getting some logs and nailing them together to make some perches and a climb over sort of feature - would they like that sort of thing and would it sensibly fit into my Eglu run ???? sari
I have shoved some long apple branches throught the upper mesh, to make an escape perch for my poor bullied legabr ( walk in run being planned as I type!), I have a rockery stone, which they sit/poop on, and wipe their beaks....an upturned flowerpot, for sitting on.....a cabbage and 2 cuttlefish and a dustbath, I have only seen them eating the sand....I have an exteneded run..if this sounds like a lot. They will be FR from saturday......they seem to be ready now!
karena
Long branches too for them to perch on. Flower pot for them to perch on and hide behind. They make their own dustbaths. Corn on cob hung in. And I always hang plants in for them to munch on. Usually loganberry and other weeds.

njoy
I have 2x1 lengths of wood criss crossing through the bars at different heights, a dumpy wide plantpot with soil and some turf in it (they are on woodchip), and today they had some broccilli hanging up which they stared at curiously! daxigirl
Lots of great ideas, good old Ikea, I like any excuse for a visit. Mainly just for the Dimebar cake. Will be buying the girlies one of those shoe racks for their run. Cuttlefish, hadn't thought of that one. Will look for a rock too.
Redwing
A small car or trailer tyre is good as a dustbath and they like to sit around the edge of them too
sandyhas3chucks
A small car or trailer tyre is good as a dustbath and they like to sit around the edge of them too I have an underbed plastic storage box, which as has wheels does help in getting it out to clean and add to
