luckielorz2001
Hello Im relatively new to chicken keeping and have an issue with two of my girls. I have noticed that they have had really watery droppings, and then instead of them going to toilet normally, when the poo, it dribbles down the bottom feathers and underneath them. I am cleaning them all the time but they dont like it. I came home today to find one of them dead, the other is all puffed up, looking very sorry for herself and I cannot find anything online about chickens who have this sort of problem. Does anyone know what it might be and how I can fix it?! Ive lost one chicken and I think I am about to loose the other!!
Chucky Mama
You really need to make a trip to the vets. These motions are not normal and if they are all the same and ill to the point of one dying they will need treatment.
Egluntyne
I agree, It sounds as if they have an infection or something equally nasty going on. I'd isolate the remaining poorly one from any other hens you might have.
luckielorz2001
Already done, the other two are fine, never had a problem with them but I am in the process of finding a vet that will see a chicken, harder than it seems!! Thanks for the advice.
