As she is the only one in the run needing a nest box I simply close the pop hole each morning so she has to stay out in the run.Sat here watching tv and suddenly thought ' did I open the pop hole before dinner?' , was 90% certain I had , but went out to check ,just incase ,to find 4 chooks roosting on the bar under the coop had to fumble about in the dark posting them through the now open pop hole, but no sign of Lola ( auracana), she wasn't on any of the high perches, in none of the dark corners, just beginning to get worried when I stood on tip toe and there she was on the coop roof , right at the back, had to get a stick and prod her until I could reach her poor chooks, at least it was just chilly and not really cold.
