jennydavies Posted September 29, 2010 Share Posted September 29, 2010 I think layers mash and layers pellets are the same thing, just presented in a different form. I make a "mash" type stuff from pellets mixed with warm water and I put that in one bowl and I put some layers granules (small pellets) in another bowl and they have both in their run (as well as all their "greens" and treats). Some people add warm water to their pellets or mash to make a porridge type mixture, often made in the winter If you offered both mash and pellets I guess the chooks would eat which ever they prefered.
