... has it started to drizzle outside the very minute I have finished liberally splashing poultry shield around the inside of the coop?

 

I now have a damp coop to get dry before the hens toddle up to bed and it's DRIZZLING so can't leave it open to the elements to dry out - GRRRRRRRRRRR!

Just because However am feeling smug as managed to fit in cleaning cube, classic and go inbetween shifts at work Not raining here yet Hope it dries in time

Is it any consolation to say that its been quite pleasant here today?

We spent about 5hrs today cleaning out our Eglu and Cube and putting up some different levels in the WIR for our new girls and also putting up some tarps all along the back of the WIR and along one side, which meant taking down all the gutters on the back of the WIR, quite a chore really. By the time we had done that we were both so exhausted we had to stop for the day. Weather has been dry here but wasn't the nice sunny day that they had said it would be

The annoying thing is that it was warm and dry all day up to the point I finished cleaning the coop

It was more or less dry by the time the girls went to bed so I put new bedding in and left the coop door open overnight so it had a chance to air.

I'm never patient enough to let my air dry so I'm always scrubbing at them with newspaper. If I can't do the whole job in as quick as time as possible the girls get cross and I lose interest!
