bigmommasally
We're having the new WIR set up tomorrow but have just realised that we will need to move the cube into place before the run is erected We can set up a temporary run for the girls but they won't have access to the cube for laying. We can't leave them trundling around the temporary run with their legs crossed so will a pet carrier do as a nesting box just for the day? Or does anyone have a better idea? chicken bark
That or a cardboard box. As long as it is as dark as you can get it I'm sure they'll manage for one day.
beckyfitz
I'm sure it will be fine - when we got our new girls they lived in the carrier for a few days before they were 'allowed' to move into the Eglu, just had a bit of Hemcore on the bottom Becky x
janeears
Yes, we used one during the WIR assembly day. Just put straw in the bottom and let them do their thing!!
Cheryl
If you elevated it on some bricks and left the door open, and put a plank for them to go up (which is what I did) they will be fine ..
