meezers
Right, here is Dandelion, first posted photos of 'her' at 10 weeks and was unnanimous that she was a girl. I think she crowed on sunday, so what do you reckon now , boy ? sorry for the pic overload, but I wanted to get as many angles as pos. thanks. CallyChook
possibly the most useless post that I'm making now... but good grief I'm bored! To me - the hair do and wattle look just like my white boy, but the comb looks too smooth. Although it is wide. Here's my boy's face, he is about 23 weeks and my girl - laying so for definite!! So - my vote is that Mr Dandelion is a fella (sorry! he is lovely though I too have too many boys so know the pain!)
meezers
Yep, it's the comb that's confusing. All the pics I found on the net showed bobbly type combs . What do you think about the 'tail', I'm sure it's sprouted in the last week.
CallyChook
looks just like my boy in profile... *searches photo stocks*
beach chick
I think he's a boy.... can you keep him? Silkie cocks are adorable, they are real gentlemen. we had to rehome ours (neighbours and noise) but still really miss him - and the girls loved him. meezers
I could possibly keep him , I still have Dilbert though and don't really have any need of one boy, let alone two. We are rural, but in a semi at the end of a cul de sac, so we have 1 neighbour who'd get full benefit of the crowing . There are several other cockerels in the village, but they are at the bottom of long gardens of terraces. We'll see how it goes, fingers crossed they won't be too noisy. Haven't heard a peep out of Dandelion since that one attempt at a crow on sunday, and Dilbert has crowed sunday afternoon and at 8am this morning. Dilbert will be for the pot if he gets unbearable, but I really don't fancy eating silkie
