stephent
Hi everyone, we had are Meggy and Shelly in April. When we got the little ones they were about 22wks old and had been vaccinated and wormed. When do you think they need worming again and what is the best product to do this? Do they need vaccinations (or boosters) again? On another note, I noticed today that they both have a build up of soil/mud around their claws. I don't believe they are bothered by it but is there an easy way of removing this for them? Many thanks for your help and advice. The Dogmother
If you look around the forum there are a lot of posts regarding worming at the moment. Flubenvet is a licensed wormer and is available from your vet, or a licensed outlet such as Countrywide or Scatts, the dosage is very easy to follow and is copied in the FAQ section of the forum. They will benefit from worming quarterly. It depends on how the mud is formed; if they are just muddy, then leave it, but if it has formed hard balls, then it will need to be soaked off as this could cause lameness. chicken bark
I'd follow Claret's advice. Just to add they don't need repeat vaccinations. They just get done by larger breeders when they are young and never need doing again.
