CallyChook
Hehe, Mr Postman just dropped our mail off and for a change, as well as the usual bills, there was a welcome letter! Our family are now officially members of the poland club yay!!! Now where to hide the breeders list so that I don't end up making phone calls that I can't afford??? chicken bark
Haven't you got enough on your plate! I've just moved my growers (who are now POL I suppose) into the big girls house so I have a house free. The idea is to keep chicken cleaning work as minimal as possible of Winter so I can put a broody in the spare house in the Spring. But it is very tempting to find some lovely hens to fill it. Hide the breeders details under your ironing pile. After you have had the baby and have finally caught up with the ironing I think you could safely have time to take on more hens then. Daphne
Yes it is a bit dangerous, especially with the major shows coming up - OH has expressed a strong interest in seeing some good polands. As it happens I have 2 empty houses and was just chatting to him about how many bantam polands I could theoretically fit in a Cube! And then later on I spotted a very cheap run for sale. However, common sense will be prevailing, till the Spring at least
