Evergreens
Hi everyone My darling Peter had to be put to sleep yesterday and i am feeling so guilty. Monday night i let our dog out and i could hear a noise coming from the direction of our summer house, so i walked round, the rabbits are in there for the winter, opened the door and looked at everyone in their hutches and Peter was on his side in his house and i thought he was asleep but i am sure now that it was him struggling to get up an the bit is he nmust have been like that all night struggling. I went in in the morining and he usually jumps up at the hustch door to be fed but he didnt so ilbent down and he was in real trouble , he had bitten through his tongue and his eye was dry adn unable to blink his head was contorte dbackwards and he couldnt right himslef . so i rang the vet and the said to take him to the local branch that was open in an hour because by the time i got to them it would be the same time. i wased his eye to make him moe comfortable and we held him until it was time to go. i blame myslef for him being un-noticed i should have bent down and looked closer....why didnt i. the vet said it was probably something to do with some parisite or worm in the ear. i am treating the other 2 they were only wormed in april please forgive me Pete i thought you were asleep but i let you down lad i am so sorry
