My WIR is still well in the planning stage.

When complete this run will be about 10 square metres and roofed with clear corrugated plastic. I am now thinking about the base material. Currently it is bare earth which would not be suitable.

Concrete is the way to go I feel, this will be covered with Ned Bedz Pro bedding.

I have come across a method that uses 3 parts soil to 1 of cement mixed dry to a depth of 10cm, packed down and then sprayed with water. Has anyone tried this? If so is it dureable?

BTW I've got a small cement mixer but don't relish concreting the 10 metres conventially.

soil and cement aren't suppost to be compatable

I only use a dry sand and cement mix when I lay slabs but it's not a very strong mix when set because the water hasn't force the air out. I think the first time theres a frost it might just blow the concrete

my run is half slabed and half soil had to slab part to stop the girls from digging holes after roots and blubs from when it was a flower bed
