Chapelwood No Ice - is this safe for Chickens?

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know if this produce would be safe to use in the glug to stop it freezing up? (Not sure if the link below works, but a google of chapelwood no ice will bring up the details)

Thanks

PS I've emailed the makers to ask their opinion ... will post when I hear from them

This is the reply I had from teh makers ...

"Unfortunately, the ChapelWood No Ice if fed to Chickens and Rabbits will become part of the food chain which would require registration as an animal feed. On this basis we would recommend that this should not be used to feed Chickens and Rabbits."

I'm guessing that's a no then?

Not worth the risk as you don't know what, if anything, would be passed on in the eggs.

Thank you Snowy, I think that is what the makers are getting at in their email reply, I guess it's safe for animals, but may not be for humans, so as you say, I will not be pursuing this one any further ...
