Unsecure chicken perches

Hello. Today I have bought 1"x1" Welded mesh to go around my 6ft high WIR. I am just curious as to weather I will need to put a roof on it or not. I am not sure if a fox could jump/climb it? I live in the city and the chickens will be in their run during the day time, but in their eglu during the night. Do you think it will be essential to have a roof or not? Thank you for any advice

I wouldn't take the risk tbh. They are very agile. A 6ft wall presents no problem, especially of there is a means to hop up.

You need a roof, one of my neighbours has an 8 foot wall and foxes get over it
