Unsecure chicken perches

I have 7 chickens in my cube, do I need to put anything over the top to warm it up?

We have 8 in our Cube and we leave them in the WIR with the door to the Cube open. Last night we crept down with a torch to check on them and opened the egg hatch and the 4 ex batts were all cozied up with each other in the nest whilst the 4 new girls were on the perches. I put my hand in between 2 of the ex batts and they were all toastie
