coco
The new house is finally finished and has a ladder going up to it[ pinched off my sons bed fits perfectly]. I'm going to be chasing chickens round later as none off them have ever gone up a ladder before and its a totally new house to them. I'm looking forward to it so much, rain, mud, ice and soggy girls. Lovely. Edited December 5, 2010 by Guest
Steve the Gas
Enjoy Chuck a few treats where you want them to go - sorted. Leave it 'til dusk - they will work it out.
Snoxy
I agree with Steve...we made a ladder for our girls and they took to it like ducks to water...I mean like hens to meal worms
coco
Well they all made it up the ladder bar one. Welsummer Fleur just couldn't get the hang of actually walking up to the ladder in the right direction, I had to go out and put her to bed. It was a bit like a chicken intelligence test, Olivia the Sultan sussed it straight away.
daxigirl
Pebbles was a bit dim with going up the ladder too, the others had all been in bed for about 20mins before she finally made it. Maybe it's a Welsummer thing?
Plum
Bless how did she get on coming down Are we going to see the house?
coco
She flew out this morning. Poor Lola came out so fast she alnded and slid about a foot until she finally stopped. Skating chickens! I will try and get pics today as it is nearly finished, well finished enough for them to live in until the weather improves and we can get a roof on it. OH is totally **** off with it now as he has spent six days out in the cold doing it.
