peebles
Girls (and boy) just enjoyed their first ever homemade hot mash to warm their little bodies After reading about all your lovely mashes you make for your chooks, I decided to make one up of pellets, porridge oats, hot water and a little splodge of marmite! Smelt disgusting, even to a marmite lover, but they're chowing down Had a snuffly nose, few sneezes and snot bubbles from Kate, but her chest is clear and she's bright, eating and droppings are normal. Gave her a cuddle in the warm living room where she had a good preen, hopped back outside with no trouble. Hoping it's the weather's fault and not something sinister Why did it have to be such a freezing cold month for our first chicken winter Hope all chooks are doing okay in this weather
C&T
It does smell doesn't it!!! But they do seem to appreciate it though, bless 'em! Hope Kate is OK, and recovers from her sniffles.
