Yippee its happened at last.

 

My daughter went to put some more straw in the eglu as it was -10 here last night & came back down the garden yelling "we've got an egg!!"

 

I am so pleased that she found our first one. Its usually me who openes them up & cleans them out but I am ill in bed with a kidney infection so she had thw thrill of finding it.

 

We hatched our babies ourselves in May & had given up all hope of any eggs this year. then Felicity was crouching yeserday so I thought something might be happening.

 

Going to have eggy bread on Christmas day!

 

Norberta is also looking like she is crouching & Dave( David Peckham) attacked me for the first time ever & drew blood on both hands.........we had strong words & I don't think she will try it again or its paxo for her!!

Have any of yours got grumpy at point of lay?

 

I guess she is jelous of all the attention that Felicity is getting,Dave is the boss out of thre three.

 

We are going to try & blow her egg so we can keep the shell.
