debbie9946
my poor hen Rosie is feeling under the weather, she has an empty crop, and feels squishy, I massaged her crop to make her sick and a clear liquid came out, she is not interested in any food, tried her with a few of her faves but no luck. Any ideas or advice welcome.
Plum
Oh dear poor thing she needs to eat to keep warm. Have you given her a general health check for signs of rattley chest, sneezing, loose droppings etc., is she acting normally or hunched? May be best to bring her in so you can keep an eye on what is happening
debbie9946
Update Rosie is well again now. I suspected she had a sour croup, so I kept her indoors overnight and made her vomit twice, not a pleasant procedure either, left her with a bowl of fresh water, and in the morning I was apprehensive, but there she was large as life and quite a different bird, bubbly and eager to get back to the rest of the girls. she is now well and happy and healthy.
