mark_lowe
I have 5 chickens and 2 cockerels in a cube, but as the cockerels gest older his getting louder and doing it more and more early in the morning before his even let out. Is there anything I can do to stop him doing it before I let him out? I thought of covering the cube to make it darker? if that's ok what's best to use? Thank you
Egluntyne
Don't the cockerels fight with each other in such a confined area?
mark_lowe
no they are fine. Get on really well
Redwing
its ok to cover the cube but take care not to block any vents, a loose weave blanket or rug would help maybe? or maybe weed supressing membrane (not the plastic type) - something that is breathable Alternatively use a bit of old carpet/rug but leave vents clear
Egluntyne
'Blackout' curtaining has had good reviews for this purpose.
