max
dear all, just wanted to share - we've had wilma and thelma coming up to two years now and they have always laid on the roosting bars - resulting in some eggs in the dropping box and therefore sometimes getting cracked and dirty etc. but ever since my husband started putting shredded paper in the nesting box - they started laying there! so for two weeks now - we've had clean eggs! some of you may remember that wilma was attacked by a fox about three months ago....well - as you can see - she's made a full recovery and started laying again about a month ago....she's still missing her tail feathers and has a small bald patch where the feathers haven't grown back yet - but she's otherwise very much back to normal! so she's had a very very lucky escape...considering she was literally in the fox's jaws.. max
