chickencam
Did anyone else see this last night? It was fascinating and did a really good job to explain how the tides work etc. I hadn't realised quite how influetial the moon is on the earth I think that they should show these sort of programmes in school, it would really inspire children and give them a much more approachable introduction to science. I only watched it because my DS came down and asked if I would like to watch it with him, I am so glad that he did.
gongladosh
yeah, really enjoyed that last night. It's another show that Chris Evans recommended on his breakfast show earlier on in the day - these days I wach pretty much everything he recommends now! Richard T
It was really fascinating. I've been thinking about it all day. And I've seen the presenter, Dr Maggie Aderin-Pocock, on other space programmes and she's very good. She really gets her enthusiasm across. 10 out of 10 from me. docsquid
I really liked the programme, and I love Maggie Aderin-Pocock too. She is so enthusiastic but also eccentric, and comes across as a bit of a young, female Patrick Moore! I really love people who are so passionate about what they do - it makes the viewing much more authentic. I like these type of shows much better than those that are narrated by actors (e.g. John Hurt is narrating The Human Planet - fine, but it isn't as involving as say David Attenborough doing the same thing).
