tracyann
Well today was the day, I'm now the proud owner of four lovely hybrid hens. I ended up getting: 1 x Bovan Nera called Ruby. 1 x Bluebelle called Lulu. 1 x Magpie called Daisy. 1 x Speckeldy called Hetty. I didn't go intending to get a Bovan Nera or a Bluebelle, I was going to get a Sussex and a Black Rock, but was taken by the colouring. They all made it home in one piece and are now in their new run bedded up, none have ventured out of the nestboxes and perch area into the run yet.... Watch this space for photos, I didn't want to spook them with a flash from my camera today, so will get photos uploaded soon.

Chortle Chook
Good on you for getting a Bluebelle. They are so pretty aren't they? If my OH would allow me to have standard sized hens (which, alas, he won't saying that they would do too much dammage to the garden) I'd be off to get a Bluebelle like greased lightening. I didn't plan on getting one but they were so friendly and very pretty.... I love them all to bits already.
Chortle Chook
Did you know exactly which four you wanted immediately you saw them, or did you dither? What swayed your decisions?

I knew immediately when I saw them, I just wasn't taken with the white or red hens... the other colours were too pretty not to get them.
