After nearly two years with my current ladies, I am planning to expand my henpire

 

At the moment I have a Classic with 3 bantams who free range most of the time. I intend to get a cube and a WIR with a netted off outside area so that they can still have access to grass and their put aside flower beds.

My questions are what size WIR would you recommend for up to 10 bantams and also what base would you recommend.

OH wants the easy option of straight on the ground but I am worried about how to keep this clean and prefer the idea of paving slabs.

If you have used slabs, have you put these on a base of concrete or just used level ground and a layer of dry concrete mix or something similar to put them on?

 

Advice would be gratefully received as some of my new ladies are due mid May and I need to get my Eglu free for them. Am very excited but decisions, decisions

My 7 bantams fr all day and have a 6 ft x 8 ft WIR - they have plenty of room because they all sit in one corner
